MJ Rodriguez Has the Soft Summer Glam Look of Our Beach Vacation Dreams — See Photos

I’m not sure what rock you’re living under, but if you don’t know or follow Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, I am judging you hard. She first captivated us as Blanca on the hit TV show Pose, and in her downtime continues to remind us why we should be stans. The New Jersey-bred queen is showing us exactly how to start the summer season with a gorgeous makeup look that puts the glam in soft glam. 

On June 22, the actor posted photos of herself on Instagram chilling poolside in a snake print bikini top and denim shorts for her many followers to swoon over — and trust, we are swooning over here. The photo showed her sitting on a chair with her waist-length, straight hair underneath a printed headwrap. The sleek hair was paired with a neutral makeup look (courtesy of makeup artist Camille Thompson) that would look good for both relaxing on a beach and posing on the red carpet. 

Thompson kept Rodriguez’s base simple with a little bit of blush on the cheeks. She blended neutral eye shadows together to create a smoked-out cut crease on Rodriguez’s eyes. A sharp cat eye, lined waterline, and fluffy lashes accentuate her smoky eye. Thompson swiped a nude glossy pigment on the lips to bring the whole look together.
