The move came after a Sena delegation met with acting Speaker Zirwal, and sought to disqualify 12 MLAs, including rebel leader Eknath Shinde, which may help adjust the numbers in the Assembly in case of a trust vote.
Taking to Twitter, Shinde said, “You cannot scare us by giving the names of 12 MLAs for disqualification because we are followers of the Shiv Sena chief Balasaheb Thackeray. We know the law, so we do not pay heed to threats.”
Meanwhile, Shinde reached the critical number of MLAs, 37, required to split the Sena in the Assembly, without being subject to disqualification under the anti-defection law.
